I'm curvy with thicker thighs and calves and I am tired of everything suction cupped to me from waist to ankle. Like most women, jeans are always a struggle, but they are a favorite staple for my wardrobe in fall. Of course I went and gained some COVID weight and needed news jeans - so the search started again. I tried these in Lombard and was really pleased. Very comfortable, fit my waist without gapping and I could still breathe when I sat down! They also fit my legs nicely and hit at the right length for my boots. They have stretch, but do retain their shape on me even after all day wear. Not baggy at all. I do wear a belt with my jeans. I don't really think they suck me in, but overall I am pleased with how they look...actually look like jeans even with the stretch. So, I decided to try a second pair in Heyburn...same size. Well heck, too darn tight! Returned them (yay Amazon) and ordered Presideio...score! They fit the same as the Lombard. So, overall, pleased. BTW...I am 5'6" and ordered all in size 16.Update: I loved my Lombard and Presidio version of these jeans and saw a seal on a black pair. Ordered and will be returning. So crazy tight - not even close to the fit of the other pairs. Disappointing, but still happy with my other two. I wish there was a little more fit consistency. After reading reviews asking if these might be knock-off or NYDJ remainders, I decided to do a little experiment. I bought three pairs of NYDJ through Amazon (three different vendors) and then bought the same style (and color) from the NYDJ site.Amazon's purchase: The jeans bought through Amazon's vendor had MUCH thinner material. ALL three pairs bought from Amazon began to thin in the thighs after two weeks, after a month there were holes forming.NYDJ Site purchase: These jeans are still looking fairly good. They are not wearing as well as the original NYDJ I have from some years ago... but are holding up better than the amazon vendor's.Now for the purpose of those who will say 'well you wore them to often without washing' - I only wear my jeans one day then they go into the laundry. Why only one day? Because I spend a great deal of time outside and DC humidity is just awful. Most days I'm weeding the garden or just chasing dogs around my yard, so I am not over stressing the material with my work.Did I buy them to small? No, they are actually a little loose. I don't like feeling like a sausage roll and prefer my jeans to allow me to breath.Do I wash them in hot? No, my jeans are washed in warm (not hot) water using a small amount of Meyer's laundry detergent & softener then dried on low. So these jeans were worn four times before they were starting to fall apart.Love these jeans. These jeans fit great! The fit is fine with these, they would have gotten 5 stars, but the stench of the either the ink or where they were made is so bad they are hard to wear. I smell it walking around in them. I recognize the odor, having been to India and Bangladesh, it's the smell of the outdoor market areas where there are mixtures of food, diesel, animal ding, and trash. Frankly, it smells like a stale #2 odor. It's gross. I've washed them 4 times to try to get it out, 3 times consequtively, I've used tide powder, oxy clean, and the best thing yet was nature's miracle pet odor removal for urine. That masked the smell but I might have to do it again. I'm not sensitive to odor from clothing or fabrics either (and I own pets and have toddler kids with their own smells), but this is the first thing I've owned where honestly it literally stinks to wear it.I bought these jeans in a different color in August, and they fit ok...if anything they were slightly too big. Flash forward to last week, I bought the same style, same size, but in black, and they appear to be 2 sizes smaller--I can barely get them over my hips. NYDJ usually fit at the natural waist, these are cut much lower, confirmed by comparing with the other pair I bought in August. I own 3 other pairs of NYDJ, and this is the first time I've ever had this issue. Very disappointed.I am so impressed with NYDJ. I finally took my mom's advice and ordered a pair. These are, by far, the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn. The waist came up to my natural wait (which is higher) and I love that. I really dislike low slung jeans. The tummy panels are stitched so that you have some stretch but it also helps shape you better. I didn't even have to hem them! (I'm 5' 8") The boot cut flare is very flattering. I never thought I would say that a $100+ pair of jeans is well worth the cost...but these are!I really love these jeans...they are expensive, but look really nice on and they are really comfortable. I usually have to pay for shortening them however. I'm 5'4". They shipped fast and I've been wearing these jeans for years and am glad I have an avenue in Amazon to continue buying themGood quality
