Fits a little tightI wear a 30 in Hudson and j brand and a 31 in most others. I purchased a 31 and they fit really good at first, any smaller and they would have been too tight in the waist. Then I washed them one time and hung dry, as instructed. Afterwards they completely lost all shape because of the Japanese material (mostly rayon blend). I should have sized down, but even then the washer might still have ruined them. I returned them as defective.I am in love with these jeans! They are fitted throughout and ACTUALLY skinny around the ankle. They are also super comfy without looking like they were designed for comfort. I will say, the fabric was a little thinner and more stretchy than I anticipated so they ended up being a little bigger than I'd like. I would say they run a bit big and might suggest sizing down. Also, the fit (Joe's Jeans "Honey") should be taken into consideration when sizing.I purchased 2 pairs they are that awesome--very soft to the touch and do stretch out a lot I sized down 1 size and have another 2 sizes down for a tighter fit. Luv Luv!Can't say enough about how nice these are. Most comfortable jeans!I purchased these jeans directly from a Joe's store (1 of 3 pairs I purchased). The store gave me specific instructions to wash the jeans in cool water and DO NOT DRY them. Drying the denim breaks down the elastic in the fabric. I followed the instructions to a T and added Laundress Denim Wash. Additionally, I washed only as necessary (maybe 3 times in 2 months).I loved these jeans first month. The fit was great! However, after wearing them a 1-2 times a week max. I started to notice the elastic was breaking down. The fabric was baggy and the the denim rippled. 3 months later, I threw them away. The jeans were baggy in the rear. While the color was fine, the fabric looked very worn.I paid full price for the jeans. At that price point, I wouldn't spend that kind of money for 2 months of wear.
