The recycled polyester, on the other hand, is made from recycled PET from plastic bottles or other certified waste. After a careful process of collecting, selection, washing and sterilising, the caps and labels are removed and the bottles are crushed into pellets. These are spun into new fibre filaments and then blended with the reused cotton to make new textiles.
